Your SAP ID (S-user ID) is your key to accessing the many resources that support SAP SuccessFactors solutions. These include the online customer community and Administrator Learning Center, both focused specifically on SAP SuccessFactors solutions, as well as the SAP Support Portal service. For new customers, SAP creates the initial S-user for the primary cloud administrator at your organization. From that point forward, the company's user administrators manage S-user IDs and authorizations. For security reasons, SAP is not allowed to create additional S-user IDs for customers or assign authorizations. If you are unable to identify your cloud administrator to get your S-user ID, please contact your SAP Local Support Center.

Getting Set Up

Customer community for SAP SuccessFactors solutions
The online customer community is your gateway to the SAP SuccessFactors ecosystem. Once you have access, you will find a wealth of information and resources related to your new solution. In addition, the community connects customers, implementation partners and SAP SuccessFactors solutions product managers, support analysts, and subject-matter experts through interactive forums, where questions are answered and knowledge is shared.

To navigate the forums and information in the customer community, we recommend starting with the Empowerment Center.

An S-user ID is necessary to register for the customer community; if you do not have your S-user ID, please contact the cloud administrator in your company. If you have additional questions, please review our FAQ.

System access
Once we provision your solution, we will send you at least two e-mails containing access data. The first contains the URL (the link to your systems) with your user names and system IDs. The second e-mail contains your passwords and will be sent only to the person named as “Contact Person IT” in your SAP SuccessFactors solution contract.

Tips for
Project Success

When you are ready to implement, SAP offers a comprehensive range of resources and services to accelerate your efforts. Here are a few tips to help you get the best out of your implementation and operation of SAP SuccessFactors solutions.

Setting up a governance model will make it easier to establish a clear structure and define responsibilities.

Change management must start early in the project to ensure collaboration of stakeholders and users and to mitigate fear of change.

Executive buy-in must be visible, or the project will not have the appropriate priority to meet deadlines.

Kick-off (Onboard)

  • Project team orientations (PTOs) prepare key stakeholders and decision makers for upcoming configuration workshops and business process decisions with the implementation consultant.
  • PTOs provide a knowledge transfer on core product functionality and enable participants to think about use cases and scenarios around functionality and configuration.
  • PTOs should be taken around the time of the project kickoff.

Enable (Implement)

  • Administrative training courses enable administrators and power users to oversee the daily management of their company’s SAP SuccessFactors solutions.
